Crafty Dan O'Grady tricks a Leprechaun out of his gold and escapes to America with the stolen coins. Enraged, the Leprechaun follows and a nightmare is unleashed. O'Grady wife is the first to be punished and O'Grady himself is left tortured and dying. Fate, However, traps the Leprechaun in a crate sealed with a four leaf clover. the only power strong enough to hold the evil creature.
